We appreciate that your friends and family are important relationships. However, friends and family have responsibilities including their own work and households, and may not have the skills and training you need. Also, if you hire privately, you become the employer of the caregiver and are responsible for everything that comes with that.
Optage offers skilled, compassionate, and flexible care givers that are bonded, insured and have undergone a thorough background check. It is our responsibility to meet your in home care needs as professionals. Your family and friends want the best for you - so do we.
Homemaker and companion services may be covered by private long term care insurance or may be self-pay. Skilled services, such as nursing care and therapy may be covered by Medicare, medical insurance, waivers, veteran's benefits, long-term care insurance, or may be self-pay. An Optage Community Service Counselor can work with you to research insurance benefits.
Every person we serve receives a personalized care plan specific to their needs and budget. Several factors help determine the exact cost including the type of services received (non-medical, skilled nursing, etc.), number of visits and number of hours of care per visit. Our services are typically billed on an hourly basis. This makes it easy to create a personalized care plan for you. To discuss the exact rates for the services you may need, contact a Community Services Counselor.
Our parent company, Presbyterian Homes & Services, began providing home care services in 1978. In the past decade, home and community services expanded to include senior dining, home delivered meals, house calls, care management and hospice.
